The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping has cast a pair of pivotal roles.

Molly McCann is set to play Louella, while Iona Bell will portray her Capitol-assigned lookalike Lou Lou in the Lionsgate film, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively. Director Francis Lawrence‘s feature adaptation of Suzanne Collins‘ best-selling novel is set to hit theaters Nov. 20, 2026.

Previously announced castmembers include Joseph Zada, Whitney Peak, Mckenna Grace, Jesse Plemons, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Maya Hawke, Lili Taylor and Ben Wang. THR exclusively reported last week that Ralph Fiennes has been cast as the diabolical President Snow.

Lawrence helms the movie from a script by Billy Ray that adapts Collins’ book. Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson produce for Color Force, while Cameron MacConomy executive produces.

McCann is known for such television credits as Bad Sisters, The Hardacres, The Boy That Never Was and Star Wars: Visions. Additionally, she has appeared in such features as Never Grow Old and was IFTA-nominated for Herself and can soon be seen in Feed. McCann is represented by United Agents.

Bell has appeared on the television project Mandrake and has roles in the forthcoming features Fing!, Savage Flowers and Frayed. She is repped by Mark Jermin Management.

The book Sunrise on the Reaping returns readers to Panem on the morning of the reaping for the 50th Hunger Games, set 24 years prior to the events in the franchise’s initial book The Hunger Games, first published in 2008.

The franchise’s first five movies — starting with 2012’s The Hunger Games — have surpassed $3.3 billion at the global box office. Jennifer Lawrence starred as Katniss Everdeen in the four initial films.

Meredith Wieck and Scott O’Brien oversee Sunrise on the Reaping for Lionsgate.
