Ahead of the release of Jurassic World Rebirth, team members behind the film will discuss its scientific and environmental impacts at the Hollywood Climate Summit.

The three-day conference, taking place June 2 through June 4 at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, will feature special session “A New Era Begins: Behind the Making of Jurassic World Rebirth” on June 3. Rebirth producer Patrick Crowley and cast member Audrina Miranda will join paleontologist Dr. Nathan Smith, director of the Dinosaur Institute at the L.A. Natural History Museum, for a NBCUniversal-sponsored conversation exploring how the franchise has inspired generations of scientists while also highlighting the production’s environmental initiatives, including beach and ocean “ghost net” cleanups.

Jurassic World Rebirth, starring Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, Jonathan Bailey, Rupert Friend and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, is set in an island research facility for the original Jurassic Park as a team tries to secure genetic material from dinosaurs, whose DNA can provide life-saving benefits to mankind. The film arrives in theaters July 2.

On Monday the Hollywood Climate Summit also announced that additional speakers Alexis Nikole Nelson (forager, educator), Joey Bragg, Simone Missick and Mary Powell (CEO, Sunrun) would be joining the conference lineup; the previously announced participants include cast members from Grey’s Anatomy, Tarriona “Tank” Ball, Ashly Burch, Adam Conover, Tig Notaro, Sheryl Lee Ralph and Patrisse Cullors.

The event’s first two days will be hosted by climate comedians Esteban Gast and Rasheda Crockett, and the summit will feature a fully plant-based menu while highlighting vendors redefining eco-conscious production. The full lineup and ticket portal are available here.
