After years of hustling, styling high-profile celebrities, snagging back-to-back television gigs and raking in one brand deal after another, Brad Goreski couldn’t shake a question: When is it going to happen?
The veteran stylist’s moment finally arrived in a major way courtesy of longtime client Demi Moore and her awards season blitz for The Substance, which ended on Hollywood’s biggest night in support of a best actress Oscar nomination. Goreski looked back on the swirl while standing at the podium Thursday night accepting a style curator of the year award during the Daily Front Row’s Fashion Los Angeles awards ceremony at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
“It’s been such a crazy year,” Goreski said following a heartfelt tribute from client Ashley Park. “I’ve been doing this for a long time, and this year I kind of got wrapped up in The Substance with Demi Moore and we just went absolutely bonkers. It’s been the dream of a lifetime but as some people have said up here, it hasn’t always felt like that. There have been moments where I have talked to my agent, [The Wall Group’s] Amy Sabel, who’s here tonight, and I’ve been like, ‘When is it going to happen?’ And she was like, ‘Just hang in there. It’s going to happen. You’re going to get to have this really great moment, I promise you.’”
Sabel’s promise came true as Goreski collaborated with Moore on just about every major red carpet that mattered beginning with The Substance world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival and ending on Oscar night. Goreski thanked Sabel and his other clients, Kaley Cuoco and Rashida Jones. For her part, Park got teary eyed thanking Goreski for his heart, humor and spirit and for helping lift her up in the wake of a critical sepsis illness.
While Moore couldn’t make it to the ceremony — the veteran star appeared at the Time100 gala in New York City where she was honored as one of the most influential people of 2025 — she surprised Goreski and the room with a recorded message that flashed on the big screen.

“I am so dying that I can’t be there tonight because nothing would give me greater pleasure than to be there to honor my friend, my co-creator, my personal fashion icon, Brad Goreski,” Moore said of the man with whom she has worked since 2008. “I’m almost lost for words out of the depth of what I feel, the gratitude I feel for you, the joyous experience that I have in working with you. You have always made it about the person, the feeling. You know when to push and give that nudge to take a risk, and you also know to listen when to help someone feel safe, but you always make us feel beautiful. This has been the ride of a lifetime this last year, and this honor tonight is long and coming.”
In closing his speech, Goreski thanked his mother Debby (who flew in from Canada for the occasion) for letting him play with Barbies, and his sister Mandy for “protecting me from all the guys that didn’t want me to play with Barbies” and all those same guys who “didn’t want me to dress the way that I wanted to dress.” He saved his final words for Hollywood writer husband Gary Janetti.
“He has inspired me to go after my dreams, and this past year has looked at every sketch, every fitting photo, every swatch. He’s so involved in this process,” Goreski praised. “You just make me so happy and I’m just really lucky to have you in my corner.”
